Untitled

A mind! A mind of her own!
Is self will rebellion?
Of course, of course
If they say it is.

Audacious one she
To express her anguish
To relinquish her confusion
To utterance
To air
As the mockingbird

'Tis only the call
She learned from us
We who teach
Liberty without
restraint. Will will
ever follow others'
will?

I like this one it gets me thinking, I had to reread it a couple of times. What I got out of it was; About a girl who had a mind of her own, she was daring, but then she was compared to a mockingbird this part was confusing, if she had a mind of her own why, and who did she mock? but then she learns something so she is a student who is not afraid to ask questions and express her self, and I dont think she is a follower so no she will lead, not follow others.. Idk if I interpretted it right or not.. but it gets you thinking..

keep in mind that mockingbirds leave their eggs in other birds' nests, so their young learn the calls of the birds whose nest they are in. This girl is only acting the way she has learned to act from those who now complain about her actions.
